In terms of sales and advertising, the Internet has become an integral tool in the retail work-
and the trend doesn't show any signs of abating in the near future. During 2005, non-travel-
related e-commerce sales grew 24.6 percent compared to 2004 according to the U.S.
Department of COmmerce, ballooning to $83.3 billion. During the fourth quarter of 2005 alone,
e-commerce sales grew by 23.4 percent over the comparable period in 2004. Here are the
